Process for Applying to CPS Academic Centers
- We recommend attending the Open House sessions for the schools you are interested in.
- To apply, go to the CPS Access and Enrollment Application Site and obtain a PIN number before November 28, 2016. Paper applications are also available.
- Once you obtain a PIN, return to the CPS Access and Enrollment Application Site and file your online application before December 9, 2016. For additional help with this process, see the Frequently Asked Questions.
- Schedule a testing date through your online application.
- Select the schools you wish to apply to in order of preference through your online application.
- You will receive your scores and any offers in April 2017.
Process for Applying to CPS High Schools
- We recommend attending the Open House sessions for the schools you are interested in.
- Review the CPS MiniGuide for Applying to High Schools.
- For Selective Enrollment Schools:
- Your child will receive a letter with a PIN number if he or she is eligible for selective enrollment high schools based on 7th grade NWEA test scores and grades. Paper applications are also available.
- Once you receive the letter and PIN number, go to the CPS Access and Enrollment Application Site and file your online application before December 9, 2016. For additional help with this process, see the Frequently Asked Questions.
- Schedule a testing date through your online application.
- Select the schools you wish to apply to in order of preference through your online application.
- You will receive your scores and any offers in March 2017.
- For IB and other schools or programs:
- Each program has a different admissions process. Find the school in the CPS High School Guide to determine the application process.
- Many schools require application through both the CPS Access and Enrollment Application Site as well as additional materials through the school. Paper applications are also available.
- You will receive your offers in March 2017.
